Where else can I find self-care tips?

Welcome back! I'm so happy you're here. I could ramble on and on all day about how I practice self care, how my friends do it, and anything else. But, my tips might not be able to help you in the way that I want them to. So, I did some research and found other sources for another viewpoint.

The first, is from Mental Health America. One bit of information that I think is so important from this article is, "Try to do something you enjoy every day. That might mean dancing, watching a favorite TV show, working in the garden, painting or reading." Something that I do everyday that I enjoy is making my bed. This might seem silly, but coming home after a long day to a made bed makes me feel good. Crawling into smooth sheets, throwing my weighted blanket on, makes me feel like I sleep better. A link to more information from this article is here: https://mhanational.org/taking-good-care-yourself

The second is from The Blissful Mind blog by Catherine from Washington. Something from Catherine that stuck out to me was, "Sometimes in order to let go, you need to figure out what you want to embrace instead." The last three years have been crazy growth for me. Figuring out how to prioritize what's important IS important. A link to Catherine's blog is here: https://theblissfulmind.com/letting-go-serves-you/

The third is from Mind Soother Therapy Center. This post I will link is about getting in touch with your sense. Being able to identify your senses and find something to calm down each of them is important. The full post is here: https://www.mindsoother.com/blog/self-care-making-yourself-a-priority

The fourth is from the Instagram account, @selfcare. This account has plenty of posts that include variety tips on how to help you help yourself. Finding yourself and finding things that you enjoy is SO important. It doesn't matter if someone else thinks it's "cool" or not. If it makes you happy, do it.

The fifth and final source is directed towards men. A lot of men, in my life at least, tend to not share their feelings. They burrow it down to make it seem like they are fine. The section in this article about taking care of your skin stuck out to me. A lot of men tend to not have a skincare routine, but the link here gives great tips! https://blog.bonsecours.com/healthy/men-self-care-tips/

Drink your water, give yourself grace, and find something you enjoy. Everything will be fine. I'll see you next time.
