Something More To Help

Welcome back! I'm so happy you're here. This week I wanted to focus on something that can help with self care. We're all on our phones so much, why not use them for something beneficial? The first app I wanted to share with you is called Aloe Bud. I just downloaded this app a while ago, and find it to work nicely! It has 11 different items it can remind you to do. You can set the times you want the app to remind you to do these things. One thing I really like to use is the hydrate one. I've drank so much more water integrating this into my everyday life.

Another feature in the app is that it can remind you to take your medicine. I know for me, I always forget. I really like this because it is just a little notification reminder to take care of your body throughout the day. It is free to download on Apple and Android. With the ability to set these reminders yourself, just take a half hour for it. These reminders can all be set at once, then you pick the day. This will then become a part of your daily routine, and maybe you won't need the app anymore!

One more item I wanted to mention is BetterHelp. This is an online therapy app. BetterHelp connects you with a therapist fit for you ASAP. When meeting with a therapist, you can meet through video call, a phone call, or even texting. I think this can be extremely helpful, and it has been throughout the pandemic. You can schedule these meetings when you need it most, or just preset it to do a little check in. I like this idea because you literally do not have to leave your house to feel better.

While I have never used BetterHelp, I see so much advertising from it. I've read the reviews countless times, and everyone who has left one seems to say it is worth it. I am highly debating this. This is not a free therapist, but it could be cheaper than seeking help in an office. Please remember that therapy is not for the weak, everyone needs help sometimes. Don't wait until things become extremely unbearable to find the right help. Sometimes it is nice to just talk to someone about a situation and have them be unbiased.

Give yourself grace, drink your water, and take care of yourself. I'll see you next time.
