What can I use for self-care?

Welcome back! I'm so happy you're here. No lie, I haven't been able to have a "self-care" day in weeks. I've been so busy between school and work, I've been too tired to take the time. With that being said, what do I use for self care? Well first, let's talk skin products. My daily face cleanser is from the brand Garnier. The name of it is Pore Perfecting 3-in-1. It includes vitamin b3 and cannabis sativa seed oil. This 3-in-1 wash is for oily to combo skin. I normally purchase at Target, but it is available at so many other retailers! It's under $10, which is super important to me being a college student.
The next product I like to use is a sugar scrub. Currently I don't have a favorite, and I've used so many from Walmart and Target. Sometimes when shopping I pick up a lip mask or an eye mask. For my self care I really just like to pick products that I feel like using that day. Another thing I do for a relaxing self care day is making coffee, making my bed, and picking a new movie to watch. Sometimes I don't finish the movie, and honestly it's because I only turn them on for background noise. I like to clean some self care days, sometimes I lay in bed and scroll mindlessly online shopping. I define my self-care days as days that I can do whatever I want. But, the self care industry is growing at a quick rate. There are so many retailers and small shops that offer self care items. According to Macala Wright, "...Google Search Trends shows a 250% increase in self-care related searches."

As we can see, self care is becoming a larger part of life for everyone. We can literally Google anything that would help for self care, and a product shows up from many places. I personally love supporting small businesses when possible. I prefer getting homemade sugar scrubs, lip scrubs, and candles. Those are just a few things that make me feel good during a self care day. While self care doesn't have to mean you have to take a full day to do it, sometimes it feels nice. Sometimes self care is getting your favorite coffee before work. Sometimes it's taking a nap. Whatever makes you feel better, do it and don't feel guilty.
Love yourself, and keep taking it day by day. Also, drink your water. See you next time :)
